6 Hospitalized After Wrong-Way Crash On Loop 101 In Scottsdale
One person suffered serious injuries in the three-vehicle collision on northbound Loop 101 near Chaparral Road just after 11 p.m. Saturday.
SCOTTSDALE, AZ — A wrong-way driver triggered a three-vehicle crash on Loop 101 late Saturday night that left six people hospitalized, according to officials.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said troopers responded just after 11 p.m. to the Pima Freeway near Chaparral Road after a driver in a black Audi sedan was spotted traveling southbound in the northbound lanes.
The Audi collided with two other vehicles near milepost 46.

Six people were taken to a nearby hospital. One suffered critical injuries; the conditions of the other five were not immediately available, according to AZDPS.
Authorities shut down northbound Loop 101 for several hours while troopers investigated the scene.
