Free Pirate-Themed Swim Night Coming To Scottsdale This Weekend

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Ahoy, mateys! Scottsdale families can dive into a pirate-themed night of swimming, games and a movie this weekend at a free water safety event hosted by Scottsdale Aquatics.

Pirates of Eldorado takes place from 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday at Eldorado Aquatic Center, where families can enjoy pirate-themed activities, open swim and a dive-in showing of "Muppet Treasure Island" after sunset.

Admission is free, and the city says all attendees need to bring is their swim gear and a sense of adventure.

The event also offers a chance to explore one of Scottsdale's premier aquatic facilities.

Eldorado Aquatic Center features a 25-yard lap pool with 13 short-course lanes, two 1-meter and two 3-meter diving boards, two large water slides, a zero-depth entry pool, a play pool and a water playground. The lap pool is heated during the winter months.

Beyond special events, the center hosts lap swimming, swim lessons, water exercise classes, competitive and recreational swim teams and seasonal waterpark programming.

The facility also offers reservable spaces for birthday parties, group gatherings and private rentals.
