Overnight Lane Closures Coming To Loop 101 In Scottsdale, DOT Says
Heads up, Scottsdale commuters: Lane restrictions are coming to southbound Loop 101 starting Wednesday night.
SCOTTSDALE, AZ — If you drive southbound on Loop 101 through the Scottsdale area, plan ahead for the next several nights.
Pavement improvement work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, April 29, bringing overnight lane restrictions to a stretch of the Pima Freeway.
Here's what the schedule looks like:

- Wednesday through Friday morning: Southbound Loop 101 narrows to two lanes nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. between Princess Drive/Pima Road and Thunderbird Road.
- Friday night through Monday morning, May 4: The two-lane restriction extends farther south, running from Princess Drive/Pima Road to Shea Boulevard during the same overnight hours.
Drivers should also expect a reduced speed limit of 55 mph through the work zone, with law enforcement officers on-site overnight.
If you regularly use this stretch of the 101 late at night or in the early morning hours, give yourself extra time and watch for crews and changing traffic patterns through the corridor.
