America's Best Mexican Food Festival Brings 30+ Chefs To Tucson This August

TUCSON, AZ — Tucson food lovers can take a culinary trip through Mexico this summer without leaving the city.

America's Best Mexican Food Festival returns to The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa on Aug. 8, bringing more than 30 chefs and culinary partners from across the Southwest together for an evening of regional dishes, live music, art and cultural experiences.

The 21-and-over event will transform the resort's banquet rooms and foyer spaces at 3800 E. Sunrise Drive into a showcase of Mexican cuisine and culture.

Presented in partnership with Visit Tucson, the festival will guide guests through four culinary regions: Northern Mexico, Central Mexico, the Pacific Coast, and Southern Mexico and the Yucatán Peninsula.

Each area will feature its own food, music, art and storytelling, with dishes highlighting flavors from across Mexico, including carne asada, moles, coastal seafood and cochinita pibil.

The festival will also feature artisans and exhibitors showcasing handcrafted goods, textiles, culinary products and fine art inspired by Mexican culture.

Proceeds from the event benefit Art State Arizona, which supports cultural programs, arts education and creative economy initiatives throughout the region.

General admission tickets are $115, with entry beginning at 6 p.m. Organizers recommend guests arrive no more than 15 minutes before their scheduled entry time.

VIP tickets are $150 and include early entry at 5 p.m., along with access to a VIP lounge beginning at 6 p.m. featuring specialty drinks and curated bites throughout the evening.

Parking will be available onsite, and rideshare drop-off zones will be marked. The venue is ADA-accessible.
