Little Rock, Arkansas-The Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission, a division of the Arkansas Department of Education, announces the 2021 Dream Keepers HBCU College Tour in partnership with Rock Region Metro. Β  The Dream Keepers HBCU College Tour will provide students, ages 16 and older, with the unique opportunity to visit college campuses in a single trip. The students will also learn about admissions requirements and financial aid.Β Β

Thursday, July 29, 2021, 8:30 AM-4:00 PM, the tour will depart from the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission, 906 Broadway, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201. The tour will include free meals and visits to the following campuses:

β€œDr. Martin Luther King, Jr. graduated from a historically black college, Morehouse. The goal of these tours is to promote interest in local opportunities in higher education and provide students with a solid understanding of the history, culture, and traditions that have shaped each schools’ collective legacy, and a framework for comparison that will help them choose the right college,” says DuShun Scarbrough, Executive Director of the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission. Β  β€œThe tour is also opened to nontraditional prospective students who have been thinking about college for quite some time, and now they’re ready to make a decision.”
