The city said 30-foot historic windmill is the only remaining structure from the Diamond Bar Ranch era, which lasted from 1918 to 1956. The windmill is believed to have originally stood about 200 feet from its current location, where it served as a water source for livestock and helped irrigate crops.
The annual lighting celebration offers residents an opportunity to gather and welcome the holiday season while recognizing a piece of Diamond Bar's history.
