Alameda County, Local Cities To Conduct Regional Alert & Warning Exercise

Emergency personnel and authorized message senders will test emergency notification systems Tuesday as part of a coordinated effort.

ALAMEDA COUNTY — The Alameda County Office of Emergency Services is partnering with local cities throughout the county to conduct a regional Alert and Warning Exercise Tuesday.

Over the past several months, the county and partner jurisdictions have worked together to update notification procedures, improve message templates, integrate current technologies, and incorporate best practices from recent disasters.

On Tuesday, emergency personnel and authorized message senders will rehearse the use of emergency notification systems and strengthen coordination between local agencies before fire season.
