East Bay Couple Tried Forcing Woman Into Sex Work By Kidnapping Her Baby: Report
Both suspects are now facing multiple charges, including human trafficking for commercial sex, according to an East Bay Times report.
OAKLAND, CA — A man and his girlfriend are facing several charges in connection with kidnapping the baby of a woman whom they were trying to force into sex work, according to a report from the East Bay Times.
Adajah Featherstone, 27, and Messiah Koran Mayfield, 24 are accused of kidnapping the seven-month old girl on April 30, according to the report.
The couple took the woman's daughter and told her she wouldn't get her back unless she went to Oakland's infamous Blade and earn $100 from sex work, according to the report.

The woman failed to earn any money, upsetting the couple who later beat her so severly she needed to be hospitalized, according to the report.
The suspects now face charges kidnapping for ransom, human trafficking for commercial sex and pandering by encouragement, along with several enhancements, according to the report.
