Prominent Bay Area Cartoonist Secretly Recorded Guests In Bathroom At Berkeley Party: Police
He was arrested earlier this month at his home, according to a report by the Berkeley Scanner, which cited court records.
BERKELEY, CA — A Bay Area cartoonist is being accused of secretly taping guests inside his Berkeley home bathroom during a party in May, according to a report from the Berkeley Scanner.
Andrew Fargo was arrested at his home earlier this month after officers secured a warrant accusing him of invasion of privacy, according to the report.
Fargo hid his phone under a towel in the bathroom and aimed it towards the toilet, police said in court records, according to the report. One guest later caught and confronted him, forcing him to admit to recording, according to the report.

"This was an inexcusable violation of your privacy and our friendship and I am prepared to face whatever consequences will come from this tremendous lapse in judgement," Fargo said in court documents, according to the report. "I had never done anything like that before and don’t know what possessed me to do it."
