The festival will feature interactive play zones, live entertainment, and hands-on building activities for families.

CARLSBAD, CA — Lego Festival will return for a second year this summer at Legoland California Resort, featuring interactive play zones, live entertainment, and hands-on building activities for families.
The festival will run daily from July 20 through Aug. 30 and will be included with general admission, according to resort officials.
"We're thrilled to bring Lego Festival back for its second year," Kurt Stocks, president of Legoland California Resort, said in a statement. "The event transforms the park into an immersive, multi-zone celebration where kids take the lead through creativity and play with hands-on building experiences and live entertainment to unforgettable encounters with Lego characters."

This year's event will include five themed zones: Music, Creative, Chill-Out, Thrill and Play. Organizers said the festival is designed to encourage creativity, self-expression and collaborative play for children and families.

The Music Zone will feature a "Battle of the Bands" show, a large festival mosaic build, and Lego characters and models. The Creative Zone will offer brick-building activities and model-building sessions led by master builders, plus more Lego characters. In the Chill-Out Zone, families can participate in a Lego Botanicals activity and see the "Playtime with Hopsy" stage show.

Officials said additional details about the sports-themed Thrill Zone and gaming-inspired Play Zone will be announced later.

Festivalgoers can also participate in the "3 Build Challenge," collecting stamps for completing building activities throughout the park. Those who complete at least three activities can receive a Lego Creator gift while supplies last.
The festival will also include themed food and drinks, merchandise and access to more than 60 rides, shows and attractions throughout the theme park.
