CVSan: Lateral Reimbursement Opportunity Program Coming Soon

In an effort to help Castro Valley residents in the most financial need, Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) is pleased to announce the implementation of the Lateral Reimbursement Opportunity Program (LROP). The LROP is a pilot program which replaces CVSan’s previous Lateral Replacement Grant Program (LRGP). LROP Grants of $4,000 are available to qualifying residential property owners.

$76,000 in total LROP funding has been approved for fiscal year (FY) 2026/27. The program is scheduled to start Monday, October 19, 2026, at 7:30 a.m. The LROP is available only to residential property owners who currently participate in a qualifying assistance program. Applicants must own property within CVSan’s service area, meet all program requirements, and replace a qualifying private sewer lateral.
