CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Are you having a "ruff" day? Need a bit of "paws-itively" in your life?
The Alameda County Sheriff's Office will hold its Dogs and Deputies event at Rowell Ranch in Castro Valley from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 27.
Bring your pooch to the free event packed with lots of activities including an owner and doggie look-alike contest, free pupacinos, free dog nail trims, and a doggie pamper station.

If your doggo is a "paw-ty" animal, it will enjoy meeting Alameda Search & Rescue, Alameda County Animal Control, rescue organizations, plus some vendors.
The event is hosted by the Crime Prevention Unit, Hayward Area Recreation and Park District, and Classy Canine Wiggle Rumps.
