U.S. Coast Guard Searches For Owner Of Empty Boat

The boat was found with the engine off, a stereo playing, keys on board, and a cell phone inside.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for the owner of a boat that was found near Discovery Bay with the owner's belongings left inside, the agency said over the weekend.

The boat was found Friday with the engine off, a stereo playing, keys on board, and a cell phone inside. The owner has been identified as Alan Wright Wokas.

The 20-foot vessel, manufactured by Moomba, was located in the vicinity of Old River near Discovery Bay approximately 1 mile north of the Highway 4 Old River Bridge.

The boat is currently being held as evidence at the Discovery Bay Marina by the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office.
