Car Crashes Into Danville Restaurant

Firefighters treated one patient as specialized rescue crews worked with building inspectors to stabilize the damaged building.

DANVILLE, CA — A solo vehicle crashed into the Luna Loca restaurant in Danville, according to the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District.

A car hit two structural support beams of the Mexican restaurant, located at 500 Sycamore Valley Road West, on Wednesday at around 3:15 p.m., according to SRVFPD Chief Jonas Aguiar. According to a fire department social media post, crews provided medical aid to one patient, though Aguiar said that no one was injured or transported to nearby medical facilities.

SRVFPD photos show a visibly damaged exterior, and wooden structural supports installed around the affected portion of the building.

The restaurant manager declined to provide Patch with any further information.

One person commenting on the district’s Facebook post noted that the crash “scared all the people inside.”

Patch reached out to the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District and the Danville Police Department for further iformation.
