'Night Of The Stars' To Honor SRVUSD's 36 'Shining Stars'

The dinner and awards ceremony will honor the district's teachers of the year, as well as exemplary community members from each school.

DANVILLE, CA — The San Ramon Valley Education Foundation will honor 36 "Shining Stars" from the SRVUSD community at its annual Night With The Stars celebration at Blackhawk Country Club.

Each SRVUSD school community nominates a "Shining Star" for their school, who can be a teacher, employee, parent, or community member. Night With The Stars will honor each Shining Star, as well as Elementary Teacher of the Year Austin Glimme (Vista Grande Elementary School); Secondary Teacher of the Year Wally Bean (Windemere Ranch Middle School); and Classified Employee of the Year Bren Erickson, a technology department network specialist.

“It will be an evening for parents, teachers, administrators, community members and our steadfast supporters to come together in celebration of a great year, and the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation’s investment in a world class educational experience,” said SRVEF Executive Director Vanessa Berastain. “We appreciate the support of our sponsors, and the value they place in public education.”

Night With The Stars will take place Wednesday, April 29 from 5-8:30 p.m. at the Blackhawk Country Club. The superintendent, trustees, district staff, principals, and more will all be present.
