Birdie is Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society Pet This Week

She needs your time.

Birdie is a 2-year-old, 54-pound, female, Shepherd mix.

Birdie’s owner said he didn’t have time for her, so he surrendered her to a shelter. When that shelter needed more space for incoming dogs, Birdie was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through Friends of County Animal Shelters - FOCAS.

She’s an active girl. She’s not sure what to do when she meets strangers. Her new family will need to be patient and give her time to settle in. Birdie needs positive reinforcement and a supportive family that will keep her involved.

The $145 adoption fee for Birdie includes medical exam, spay, vaccinations, microchip, and a one-year license if her new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society.
