Tri-Valley Restaurants Listed In Michelin Guide
Two Tri-Valley restaurants were listed in the 2026 guide, announced Wednesday.
PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton restaurant Sabio on Main and Livermore restaurant Range Life were listed in the Michelin Guide for 2026. This is the sixth year that both Californian contemporary restaurants have been listed in the vaunted guide. No other Tri-Valley restaurants have been selected.
Sabio on Main, which opened on 501 Main Street in 2015, was praised for "locally sourced produce, meat from regenerative ranches and responsibly caught seafood."
“Menus dance to the seasons, unveiling such passionate and ingenious dishes as a spring garlic velouté with Livermore olive oil, and half a head of za'atar-roasted Romanesco with green tahini and pine nuts,” said the guide, which praised the blueberry cheesecake sundae with cream cheese mousse and cinnamon-graham-cracker crumble dessert.

Livermore restaurant Range Life, which opened on 2160 Railroad Avenue in 2018, was praised for "appealing bites bursting with a bounty of seasonal ingredients," like blistered snap peas with feta and walnut pistachio dukkah and pasta with Campanella with spring lamb belly sugo. For many years, Range Life received a Bib Gourmand, which is awarded to restaurants offering exceptional cuisine for accessible prices.
Being listed in the guide is not the same as receiving a Michelin star, which is among the highest honors in the world a restaurant can receive. Still, thousands of restaurants compete for just a few spots in the guide.

In the East Bay, only two restaurants received stars: Commis, a French-Californian restaurant in Oakland, received two stars, and Sun Moon Studio, a Californian farm-to-table restaurant in Oakland, received one star.
Several restaurants in Oakland and Berkeley, as well as single restaurants in Lafayette, Hayward, and El Cerrito, were selected for the guide. See here for the full list, which was unveiled Wednesday at a ceremony in San Diego.
