Utility Box Painting Submission Deadline Nearing
The city is paying $1000 for artists to paint local utility boxes, inspired by the theme "Where Else But Dublin?"

DUBLIN, CA — Anyone looking to brighten local utility boxes has just a few more days to apply.
Local artists are invited to take part in Dublin's Utility Box Art Program, which has painted over 75 utility boxes in the city. This year, the theme of the boxes is "Where Else But Dublin." Artists are encouraged to envision creative designs that highlight unique aspects of the city's character and landscape. See here for full submission details. Artists will receive a $1000 stipend. If youth apply, the stipend will go toward the supervising professional artist or art teacher. The stipend is intended to cover the cost of the artist's design fee and materials.
The submission deadline is April 20. Selection will take place in May or June, and utility boxes will be painted June through September. See here for more information, and to look at past utility boxes.
