Fremont Hot Spot Makes Best Sandwich List

A new list of the best sandwich restaurants in the Bay Area includes a Fremont eatery. Have you tried it?

FREMONT, CA — A properly made sandwich is anything but humble. From piled-high pastrami to ooey-gooey grilled cheese — nothing is quite as satisfying for a filling lunch. You've probably perfected your own favorites in your kitchen, but if you are looking to try a sub shop, cafe or deli, the Bay Area News Group put out a list recently of 16 restaurants to try around the Bay Area.

Several East Bay eateries made the list including Mirchi Meat & Deli in Fremont.

"This butcher shop and grocery began as a halal initiative, which is certainly a great thing," BANG writes. "But let’s also get into how delicious the sandwiches are, with meats so fresh they practically emanate barnyard sounds."
