Recalled Costco Bakery Item Distributed In CA
The desserts contain an undeclared allergen.
Costco is warning its members that desserts with an undeclared allergen were mistakenly sent to nearly a dozen warehouses across the country, including in California.
Item No. 2000012, Traditional Madeleines, was inadvertently packaged with chocolate hazelnut-filled Madeleines, according to an April 7 message to Costco members.
“The mislabeled units contain undeclared Tree Nuts (Hazelnut/Filbert),” the message said. “If you are allergic to Hazelnuts/Filberts, do not consume this product. … People with a hazelnut or filbert allergy or severe sensitivity risk a life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.”
