'Police Activity' In Badger Park Ended

Healdsburg officers and Sonoma County sheriff's deputies closed off the Badger Park early Wednesday evening.

HEALDSBURG, CA — Police have reopened Badger Park after Healdsburg officers and the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office responded to a "police activity."

Police sent an alert at 6:45 p.m. asking the public to stay clear of the area, but said no action was required from residents.

Gunshots were reported at about 6:19 p.m. near the park shortly before the alert from Healdsburg police at 6:45 p.m.

In a later alert at 8:15 p.m., police reported that the area was clear, and normal activity could resume.

Healdsburg Police asked the public not to call for information regarding the incident, which was under investigation by the Sonoma County Sheriff's Department.
