Search For At-Risk Man On Westside Road, Avoid Contact: SCSO
An urgent search for an at-risk man believed to be armed continues after a late-night sighting on Westside Road in Forestville.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Sonoma County sheriff’s deputies are searching Westside Road after a man reportedly threatened self-harm and was last seen on private property late Sunday night.
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as Mayson Vomela, about 6-foot, 230 pounds. Officials reported he may be armed with an unknown-type handgun.
Deputies said Vomela was seen at about 9:15 p.m. on the 10300 block of Westside Road in Forestville. After that sighting, he disappeared from the area, triggering a search.

Deputies searched nearby roads, residences, and open land overnight.
