• San Diego County supervisors greenlight plan to build own Tijuana River treatment plant (kansascity.com) — San Diego County supervisors have approved funding to design a new Tijuana River sewage capture and treatment system that would directly affect Imperial Beach's long-closed shoreline and air quality. The plan, alongside fixes at the Saturn Boulevard pollution hot spot, could be backed by a proposed countywide sales tax, potentially generating major infrastructure money if voters sign off in November.
