2,600+ Laguna Beach Residents Without Power Tuesday, SDGE Says

The unplanned power outage is the second to impact the coastal beach town in the past month.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — An unplanned power outage had Laguna Beach residents shaking their heads Tuesday.

The outage was reported just after 7 p.m. Tuesday by the City of Laguna Beach.

According to the city, the power outage is impacting South Laguna's street lights and residential homes.

Roughly 2,600 SDGE customers were impacted by the power outage, according to SDGE's website.

The outage also impacted a small portion of Dana Point, Capistrano Beach and Laguna Niguel.

The cause of the outage was not immediately known.
