Beloved Storm Baseball Emcee To Bid Farewell To Lake Elsinore

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A beloved Lake Elsinore Storm Emcee is stepping down from his leadership of the Lake Elsinore Storm, and joining up with Banana Ball, Kaz Egan announced over social media.

This is not a drill. "I can't wait to travel the country and put on the hottest show in sports," Egan said. Banana Ball, combining performance, comedy, dance, acrobatics and baseball skills.

For seven years, Egan has celebrated wins, commiserated losses, and made countless friends at the Lake Elsinore Storm ballpark. "Now, it's the hard part," he said in a recent announcement. "I've been asked to join Banana Ball as the official host of the Firefighters. This means that I'll be stepping down as the Emcee of the Lake Elsinore Storm."

Egan has spent over 300 games, hundreds of community outings, dozens of concerts and two Kaz's Rockin' In the New Year Bash, he recalled in a memorable video.

"It's been seven memorable years," he said. "On Opening Night, I'll be back for one last night. One last time, join me at the diamond, Tues. April 7, one last time."

Meanwhile, Christian Dearman, of the Firefighters, promised "We'll take good care of him."

The Firefighters are part of Banana Ball lore, the third team to be formed as part of the Banana Ball Championship League. They'll tour the country again, with antics and skill of playing the game of baseball with pizazz as well as ability.

He shared a preview of his new gig on Instagram.

Fans wrote their support saying:

"Let me just say, enormous shoes to fill for the next guy."

A Lake Elsinore Storm Baseball spokesperson said of the move that "All that is left to say, Lake Elsinore, we love you, goodnight."
