'Coolest Mall' In CA Is In Riverside County: Look Inside The Layered Past Of Shops At Dos Lagos
This Riverside County outdoor mall has created an oasis at the hub of the I-15 and I-91 Freeways in Corona.

CORONA, CA — This outdoor mall in Riverside County takes history and elegance to a new level, creating a retail experience even the modern shopper can enjoy, according to a recent report on Island.com, it was dubbed "California's Coolest Mall."
The Shops at Dos Lagos, an outdoor mall in Corona, was built on the site of the Temescal Tin Mine, along the famed Butterfield Stagecoach route.
The mall's location sits on part of the Overland Mail Route, the nation's transcontinental mail route, which operated from 1868 to 1861. Once California's largest, the Temescal Tin Mine operated from the mid-1850s to the 1890s," according to a recent report on The Lakes.com.

The Tin Mine Canyon Trail "lets nature lovers discover a snippet of the state's Gold Rush past (or tin, in this case)," according to a recent article highlighting the mall.

"With an upscale mix of stores, restaurants, and services, Dos Lagos provides an environment of leisure, style and entertainment. The center features a pedestrian-friendly Main Street, storefront parking, an Amphitheater for Entertainment, and other unique amenities," according to the mall's web page.

Next up for concerts at Dos Lagos is 80s legend Billy Ocean, who will perform his greatest hits and fan favorites on Monday, March 9th.
It's known for its outdoor concerts, 4th of July spectaculars and of course, a visit from Santa Claus at Christmas.

Dos Lagos overlooks two scenic lakes, and the view is perfect for taking in the beauty of the surrounding Temescal Canyon while walking across the bamboo bridge or dining at one of the premier restaurants.

"Dos Lagos has become a great addition to the citizens of Corona, with locally owned restaurants and shops catering to the unique needs in Corona," Corona City Councilman Eugene Montanez said. "I always encourage residents to walk the trails, enjoy the waterfall, have an appetizer at one of the many restaurants and simply enjoy a quiet evening in Corona, at Dos Lagos."
