Guardrail Damage Prompts Lane Closure On Southbound 215 Freeway July 9

PERRIS, CA — Maintenance crews will be repairing damaged guardrails on a stretch of the southbound 215 Freeway on July 9, prompting an emergency lane closure, Caltrans announced on Wednesday.

Workers will close the number 1 lane of the southbound Interstate 215 just north of State Route 74 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Caltrans advised motorists to reduce their speed when traveling near work zones for the safety of maintenance crews and other drivers.

Caltrans said signs will be placed on the route to inform motorists roadway work is approaching.
