Hundreds Line Up At RivCo's Newest Walmart Supercenter, Fuel Station

EASTVALE, CA — Hundreds gathered at the newest Walmart Supercenter and fueling station in Riverside County on Wednesday. Those lines stuck around most of the day, as Eastvale residents stopped by the store for discounts, the chance to win prizes and meet an NFL legend.

At 7:30 a.m., visitors lined up for the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Eastvale Walmart, 14100 Limonite Avenue. The event included local dignitaries, management and grant presentations.

During the event, Walmart shared grants with local nonprofits, including the American Red Cross, the Jurupa Community Services District, Million Kids, the Childhood Drowning Prevention Foundation, and the Friends of Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy.

Grand opening fanfare for the much awaited store included an early customer giveaway: first 250 customers in line receive a $25 Walmart gift card (one per family); outdoor family activities including face painting, games and interactive experiences; Customer engagement experiences featuring Walmart+ “Spin to Win” and One Pay; Health & Wellness activities highlighting pharmacy and vision services; and a 3– 4:30 p.m.: Meet & greet with NFL legend Eric Dickerson for the first 200 customers.

Customers, already following the store's social media pages, expressed gratitude for not having to drive to Corona to visit a Walmart.

Another commenter said, "I've been waiting 20 years for a Walmart to come to us! We're so excited!"

The Supercenter features full grocery and everyday essentials at Walmart’s Every Day Low Prices; Pharmacy services (including immunizations and prescription transfers); Vision services (including eye care and eyewear); Pickup and delivery options, with an on-site OPD customer celebration planned; and the new operational fuel station that opened on opening day.
