RivCo's Year-Round, Indoor Skating Rink Slated To Open In April

Brush off your ice skates, Lake Elsinore is opening the region's 1st private indoor hockey ice rink, a major milestone for Southwest RivCo.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Lake Elsinore is making strides towards its goal to be the "action sports capital of the world" with its latest addition: an indoor ice hockey rink. The new, climate-controlled, year-round facility is focused on athletes and families, giving them an environment to train, compete and enjoy ice sports right here in Southwest Riverside County.

The Ice Cave, located at Corydon Road, offers an NHL-size rink and a studio rink, according to its website. "We aim to offer a range of ice-related activities that captivate and engage visitors, from recreational skating to competitive events," the owners say on their website. According to the city, the rink will host youth and adult hockey leagues, skating programs, figure skating, private skate sessions, tournaments, camps, and special events.

Lake Elsinore Mayor Robert “Bob” Magee talked about the new rink, and plans for the future in a recent statement.
