A new nature themed playground officially opens Tuesday at Northmont Park at 6030 Severin Dr.
A dedication ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Donations by Grossmont Center and Bill and Norma Berbeck to the La Mesa Parks and Recreation Foundation gave the park its first playground since opening in 1988, said Assistant City Manager Yvonne Garrett.
