It's unclear whether Jaber and his suspected killer knew each other.

A Facebook post from a person with the same name who lives in Chico posted in February that they needed someone to kill a Chris Jaber. In the post, Prince says Jaber is 34 and lives in Lafayette. Police have not publicly said whether the account belongs to the same David Prince.

Officers arrived at Jaber's home on Saturday morning and found him dead inside, according to the Lafayette Police Department.

Prince was walking nearby and was detained, police said, adding that they eventually developed enough probable cause to arrest him. He is being held on $1 million bail, police said.
