LIVERMORE, CA — A 26-year-old Livermore man was arrested on charges of robbing a 14-year-old of a $1,300 e-bike he’d recently received, according to police.
On Sunday, March 1, police responded to reports of a strong-arm robbery near the AM/PM on Stanley Boulevard. Officers identified the suspect as 26-year-old Jose Mendez Bailon, who was reportedly involved in earlier police incidents.
Bailon was arrested Wednesday on charges of strong-arm robbery. Shortly afterward, a community member contacted police after discovering a bicycle that appeared to be stolen or abandoned. Officers confirmed it was the same bike, and returned it to the victim’s father.
