30+ Officers To Target Traffic Violations In Livermore Wednesday

Officers from 10 law-enforcement agencies will focus on speeding, stop-sign violations and cellphone use throughout the city.

LIVERMORE, CA — Officers from the Livermore Police Department and more than 30 officers from a number of other East Bay departments will conduct a High Intensity Traffic Team operation Wednesday.

The LPD said that officers will focus on driving behaviors that commonly contribute to collisions, including speeding, stop sign violations, and cell phone use behind the wheel.

The operation will bring together officers from the Livermore, Hayward, San Leandro, Union City, Fremont, Newark, Pleasanton, Berkeley, and Alameda police departments, as well as the California Highway Patrol.
