Grass Fire Breaks Out Near Lawrence-Livermore Lab
Firefighters stopped forward progress on a small grass fire that broke out south of Tesla Road, according to the Watch Duty app.
LIVERMORE, CA — Firefighters stopped forward progress on a 5.4-acre vegetation fire burning just south of Tesla Road.
The Tesla Fire broke out at around 2:20 p.m. just south of Tesla Road, near Meadowlark Field and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, according to the Watch Duty app. It expanded to three acres by 2:56 p.m., but forward progress was stopped by 3:07 p.m., incident command told Watch Duty. It expanded to 5.4 acres as of 4:05 p.m., though forward progress is still stopped.
The Pulsepoint app shows 15 units on-scene, and four more en route.
