Livermore Restaurant Listed In Michelin Guide

A Livermore restaurant was one of two Tri-Valley restaurants listed in the 2026 guide, announced Wednesday.

PLEASANTON, CA —Livermore restaurant Range Life was one of two Tri-Valley restaurants listed in the Michelin Guide for 2026. This is the sixth year that the Californian contemporary restaurant has been listed in the vaunted guide. In past years, it has also been awarded the Bib Gourmand, which recognizes exceptional food at accessible prices.

“This charmer from husband-and-wife team, Bill and Sarah Niles, may look straight out of a trendy, urban neighborhood, but instead calls Livermore home. The rustic interior with big arched windows and plenty of succulents screams ‘hipster hotspot.’ However, few big-city restaurants can offer such an enthusiastic, passionate staff and friendly local crowd,” the guide said of the restaurant, which opened on 2160 Railroad Avenue in 2018.

The guide praised "appealing bites bursting with a bounty of seasonal ingredients," like blistered snap peas with feta and walnut pistachio dukkah and pasta with Campanella with spring lamb belly sugo.

Being listed in the guide is not the same as receiving a Michelin star, which is among the highest honors in the world a restaurant can receive. Still, thousands of restaurants compete for just a few spots in the guide.

In the Tri-Valley, the only other restaurant listed was Sabio on Main in Pleasanton, which also serves California-inspired cuisine and local, seasonal ingredients. In the East Bay, only two restaurants received stars: Commis, a French-Californian restaurant in Oakland, received two stars, and Sun Moon Studio, a Californian farm-to-table restaurant in Oakland, received one star.
