Man Stabbed In Long Beach

LONG BEACH (CNS) - A man was stabbed as an argument escalated into an assault Saturday morning in Long Beach, authorities said.

Officers dispatched at about 2:20 a.m. Saturday to the 1900 block of Long Beach Boulevard regarding a stabbing located the victim, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Paramedics rushed him to a hospital with wounds to the upper body, which he was expected to survive, the department said.

"The preliminary investigation revealed the victim and the adult male suspect were involved in a verbal dispute that escalated when the suspect stabbed the victim," according to a police statement. "The investigation is ongoing."
