Dodgers To Visit Trump White House After World Series Win
The July 23 visit will come during an East Coast road trip between series against the Phillies and Mets.
LOS ANGELES, CA — The Los Angeles Dodgers will visit the White House on July 23 to celebrate the team’s second consecutive World Series championship.
The team confirmed the visit Thursday, saying it will take place on a scheduled off day during an East Coast road trip. The Dodgers are set to play the Philadelphia Phillies from July 20-22 before opening a series against the New York Mets on July 24.
“As was the case one year ago, the Dodgers’ upcoming visits to the White House and Capitol Hill follow the longtime tradition of visits by other World Series champions,” the team said in a statement. “We appreciate these tributes in recognition of our back-to-back championships.”

White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers told the Los Angeles Times that President Donald Trump “is excited to welcome the Los Angeles Dodgers BACK to the White House” for the celebration.
The visit follows two previous White House trips by the Dodgers after recent championships. President Joe Biden hosted the team in 2021 after its 2020 World Series title, and Trump hosted the Dodgers in April 2025 after the team’s 2024 championship.

The Dodgers won their latest title with a Game 7 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays in November.
The planned visit comes after questions earlier this year about whether any Dodgers players would opt out. Mookie Betts, who skipped a White House trip with the Boston Red Sox during Trump’s first term, attended last year’s Dodgers visit, as did other returning members of the 2024 team who were with the club during its road trip, the Times reported.
First baseman Freddie Freeman missed that visit while recovering from an ankle injury.
Retired Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw also told the Times this spring that he planned to attend.
“I went when President Biden was in office. I’m going to go when President Trump is in office,” Kershaw told the newspaper. “To me, it’s just about getting to go to the White House. You don’t get that opportunity every day, so I’m excited to go.”
