Man Killed By Vehicle While Walking On 101 Freeway

A man was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking on the 101 Freeway.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A man was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking on the Hollywood (101) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles, authorities said Sunday.

The crash occurred at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday on the southbound freeway, just south of Alameda Street, according to the California Highway Patrol. It was not considered to be a hit-and-run and was it unclear why the man was walking on the freeway, the CHP said.

The decedent was identified as Myong Park, 78, according to the Los Angeles medical examiner's office.
