Metrolink To Offer Free Rides Across SoCal For Clean Air Day, With No Ticket Needed
Riders can travel free on Metrolink and Arrow trains on Clean Air Day, with several connecting transit agencies also waiving fares.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Southern California commuters and travelers can ride Metrolink for free on Wednesday, Oct. 7, in recognition of California Clean Air Day.
No ticket will be required to board any Metrolink or Arrow train that day, and riders can take as many trips as they like for free. A day pass typically costs $15..
Metrolink operates eight lines serving nearly 70 stations across Southern California. Riders can plan trips in advance using Metrolink's online trip planner or schedules.

Several connecting transit agencies will also offer free rides Oct. 7, including LA Metro buses and trains, Omnitrans and other San Bernardino County transit services, Ventura County transit, Riverside Transit buses and OC Bus service in Orange County.
The free-fare promotion does not apply to Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains.
