Drivers were urged to allow extra time and use alternate routes. Traffic officers and flaggers will be stationed along detours.

LAX travelers should continue arriving at least two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international flights, officials said.

The work is part of a larger project to reconfigure 4.4 miles of roads around LAX, separate airport-bound traffic from neighborhood traffic and reduce congestion. More intermittent closures are expected as construction continues through 2030.
