Woman, 78, Still Missing A Week After LA Disappearance

Authorities are asking for the public's help finding a 78-year-old woman who went missing in LA on June 13.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A Silver Alert was activated for a 78-year-old woman who went missing in the Chinatown community in downtown Los Angeles, authorities said Sunday.

Guili Zhang was last seen on June 13 at approximately noon in the area of Ord and New High streets, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Zhang was described as a 5-foot, 1-inch tall Asian woman with black hair and black eyes.

Anyone with information regarding Zhang's whereabouts was urged to call 911.

The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
