7 Arrested, 18 Detained At North OC Illegal Gambling Operation
Westminster Police made seven arrests after surveilling multiple individuals going inside a defunct business, they announced Thursday.
WESTMINSTER, CA — Seven people were taken into custody, and a total of 18 people were detained, after Westminster police discovered an illegal gambling operation.
Shortly before 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, officers arrived at the 9800 block of Bolsa Avenue, where multiple people were seen entering a closed business, according to the Westminster Police Department.
"Detectives conducted a search at the location and discovered an illegal gambling operation," police said.

A total of 18 people were detained while investigators searched the defunct business. Inside, they discovered one unregistered firearm, approximately half an ounce of suspected methamphetamine, and evidence of drug sales, according to the report.
Police arrested seven people, who were all booked on various offenses related to active arrest warrants, narcotics possession and sales, illegal gambling and firearm violations.
