Blotter: Washer and Dryer Stolen, DUI Arrest

It was a pretty quiet week for the Los Alamitos Police Department, but there were several thefts and a DUI arrest.

AUTO BURGLARY

  • 8/4/11 – 6:49 p.m. – 10800 Oak St. – A report of two vehicles having their windows smashed while parked in a lot.  Property was taken from one vehicle.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY/SHOPLIFT

  • 8/3/11 – 9:33 p.m. – 3400 Katella Ave. – A report of a person posing as a job applicant taking property from inside a business.

DUI

  • 8/5/11 – 3:07 p.m. – 4400 Katella Ave. – A report of two vehicles colliding, and one of the drivers leaving the area while being followed by the second.  Both drivers and vehicles were located nearby. A 45-year-old male from Long Beach was arrested on suspicion of DUI and leaving the scene of a collision.

THEFT

  • 8/1/11 – 12:56 p.m. – 10694 Chestnut – A washer and dryer were taken from the victim’s patio sometime during the day.
  • 8/3/11 – 2:30 p.m. – 4100 Katella Ave. – An unauthorized person entered an unlocked vehicle and took a wallet from inside.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • 7/31/11 – 1:35 p.m. – 4700 Katella Ave. – A 36-year-old Lakewood man was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
  • 8/1/11 – 7:04 a.m. – 10800 Bloomfield – A 24-year-old Compton woman was arrested on a warrant.
