We need your help! We are seeking volunteers of all ages to visit the museum, make some crafts, get hands-on with history, and explore the exhibitions, all while posing for the camera!
Volunteers will be given free admission for the day and a free pass for a later date as well.

Learn how to capture the magical light of the Central Coast in oils with local landscape painter, Victoria Galitzine. This class will cover the basics of solvent-free oil painting utilizing the expressive “alla prima” (wet-on-wet) technique. Victoria will guide you step-by-step on how to layer oils using quick, intuitive brushwork. All ability levels are welcome. You will leave with your very own impressionist-style oil seascape. All materials provided.

Harpist Renée Qin and flutist Isaac Chuang come together for a program highlighting the distinctive colors and expressive range of the flute and harp. Join us at NUMU for our monthly, self-guided figure drawing sessions!&nbsp;Each session will take place in our Flick Drawing Studio with a live model, easels, newsprint paper, and pencils.&nbsp;You are welcome to bring additional materials.&nbsp;
We will begin each two-hour session warming up with two and five-minute poses, followed by ten and twenty-minute poses.&nbsp;There will be a scheduled break midway through the session. All experience levels are welcome, but please note this is an uninstructed session. This is an opportunity to draw a live model and to connect with peers. A NUMU staff member will be present to facilitate the timing of the model’s poses.

NAMI Santa Clara County invites the community to come together for NAMIWalks Silicon Valley 2026 on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at History Park in San Jose.
NAMIWalks is more than a walk. It is a day of connection, hope, and community action to raise awareness about mental health, fight stigma, and remind individuals and families affected by mental health conditions that they are not alone.
Mental health touches all of us—our families, friends, workplaces, schools, and communities. By walking together, we can help create a Santa Clara County where conversations about mental health are welcomed, people feel comfortable asking for help, and everyone has access to support when they need it.
NAMIWalks Silicon Valley is free and open to everyone. Individuals, families, friends, companies, schools, community organizations, and teams are all encouraged to participate. Whether you walk in honor of someone you love, in support of your own mental health journey, or simply because you believe mental health matters, we invite you to join us.
Funds raised through NAMIWalks help NAMI Santa Clara County continue providing free mental health education, support groups, advocacy, and resources to individuals and families throughout our community.
