Meet James Wang
James Wang is a technologist, investor and writer with over a decade of experience in AI and deep tech. He is a general partner at Creative Ventures, an early-stage deep tech fund backing breakthroughs in AI, synthetic biology and advanced materials.
Previously, James worked at Bridgewater Associates and worked at Google's "moonshot" innovation lab, X. He has served as a board director at startups working in AI, healthcare and robotics and is a regular guest lecturer at UC Berkeley on entrepreneurship and startup financing.
Meet Featured Host Justin Kuczynski
Justin Kuczynski is an engineering lead and technologist with over a decade of experience in machine learning and computational science. He currently works on large-scale systems at Google, where he focuses on building the complex modeling infrastructure that powers modern digital tools.
Previously, Justin earned a PhD in computational biology and spent years working at the intersection of tech and the life sciences, building and applying machine learning models to solve fundamental challenges in human health. Having tracked the evolution of data-driven modeling from early academic research to industry applications, he maintains high hopes for AI's potential to improve human health and generally aid human flourishing.
