Prince of Peace Christian School

Mark your calendar: Prince of Peace's Community Fall Festival is happening Saturday, October 31, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, and everyone is welcome, our POP families, your cousins, friends, and neighbors from all across Fremont.
This is one of our favorite afternoons of the year, a chance for our whole community to slow down, step outside, and simply have fun together. There will be trunk-or-treating with decorated cars from our 5th through 8th graders and church community, so kids can go car to car collecting treats in a safe, supervised space. Little ones and big kids alike will find plenty to do with lively games and bounce houses. Warm up with a sampling of chili at our chili cook-off, take a spin at the cake walk for a chance to win a homemade treat, and enjoy our nacho bar and candy along the way.
We have designed this festival to be safe, joyful, and welcoming for families of every background, culture, and belief. Costumes are welcome and encouraged for the kids, but we do ask that they stay lighthearted; please skip anything scary, bloody, or ghostly, so the day feels warm and fun for every family that joins us.
Wristbands are $5 per person and required to participate in games and activities, purchased the day of the event.
Whether you are already part of our church family, a school parent, or a neighbor who has never set foot on our campus, we would genuinely love to meet you. No RSVP is required, just show up. Bring your kids, bring a friend, invite the family down the street, and come build some fall memories with us. The festival runs rain or shine, so dress for the weather; parking is available across the street at Washington High School.
We can't wait to celebrate the season together on October 31st; see you there!

This Halloween, prepare to be Bitten by the Bay at the 4-star Hyatt Centric Mountain View for a night of cocktails, costumes, dancing, prizes, and plenty of opportunities to meet people.
Singles, couples, and friends are all welcome. And because many of you are coming single, our VIP singles experience returns as the VIP Singles Sanctuary Lounge—a private, low-lit lounge exclusively for singles.
This isn't simply another Saturday night at a crowded bar. It's a six-hour Halloween experience with multiple spaces, each offering a different way to enjoy the night.
For more than a decade, we've produced large Halloween Costume &amp; Dance Parties in the Bay Area, with past themes including Bewitched by the Bay, Ghosted by the Bay, and Zombied by the Bay.
This year, prepare to be Bitten by the Bay.
THE HALLOWEEN EXPERIENCE
Your night begins in the Twilight Lounge, our spacious social area. Check in, grab a drink, check out the costumes, and start meeting people.
Then enter the darkened Crimson Ballroom, illuminated with red backlighting and special Halloween effects. This is the heart of Bitten by the Bay—home to our dance floor, costume contest, bar, and VIP Singles Sanctuary.
And once you're inside, be careful.
This is where most of the biting happens.
DJ Dave X is back! He's kept our Halloween and NYE dance floors packed with dance hits, throwbacks, and party anthems. No dead dance floor.
Want somewhere you can actually have a conversation? Weather permitting, step outside to the Moonlight Terrace at View on Two, the Hyatt's spacious outdoor patio and bar. Enjoy the night air, admire the costumes, and mingle away from the music.

Coming single? We've created a space just for you.
Our VIP Singles Sanctuary is a private, low-lit lounge inside the Crimson Ballroom reserved exclusively for singles. Mingle, meet other singles, enjoy complimentary appetizers, or simply take a break from the dance floor.

Viva La Vida with Excerpts from P1N0CCH10 &amp; Carmilla features new works and a returning Oceánica Ballet autumn tradition. 
Act 1 premieres selections from two upcoming story ballets. P1N0CCH10, a retelling of Carlo Collodi's classic tale of Pinocchio, explores humanity, artificial intelligence, and our relationship with the natural world. Carmilla, an adaptation of Sheridan Le Fanu's groundbreaking sapphic vampire novella, stages a mysterious masquerade ball.
Act II features the return of Viva La Vida, the original story of Lucio and Lupita in a joyful folklórico-infused tale about transcending loss and the resilience of love, inspired by Día de los Muertos. In this “celebration of life, loved ones and culture,” writes Jocelyn Tong of the Daily Californian, “mythic creatures from the land of the dead … [lead to] twirled scarves and snapped-open fans …in a story of homecoming.” Throughout all three stories, the wisdom of women across time and cultures is amplified.
