18-Year-Old Arrested For DUI Crash That Killed Woman, 60, In Mission Viejo: Police

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A 60-year-old woman was killed after she was struck in a DUI crash in Mission Viejo, authorities said.

The crash happened on Aug. 8, when deputies responded to the area of Pacific Crest Drive and Glenwood Drive in Mission Viejo at around 9:20 p.m., according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 60-year-old woman from Mission Viejo on the ground with "severe injuries."

She was taken to a local hospital and succumbed to her injuries on Sunday.

The victim was identified as Duo Ying Liang, of Mission Viejo.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Caleb Thomas Baeza, an 18-year-old from Mission Viejo.

He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and was booked into the Orange County Jail, police said.
