City Celebrates Adopt-A-Pet Day With Big Deals
Residents who adopt a pet on national Adopt-a-Pet Day will have their adoption fees waived, officials said.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — Are you looking for a furry friend who just might be looking for you?
The Mission Viejo Animal Services Center is taking part in national Adopt-a-Pet Day on Saturday, June 6.
The initiative is geared toward promoting pet adoption and raising awareness about the animals waiting for their forever homes.

"Whether you're seeking a playful pup, cuddly kitten, or an adorable bunny, we'll help you find the perfect match," Director of Animal Services Brynn Lavison told Patch. "We have some pets that have been here waiting for their forever home for months, so we truly wish that this day will give them the focus and attention they need to find their family."
Families are invited to visit the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center at 28095 Hillcrest to learn about the benefits of pet adoption and meet some loving animals looking for forever homes.

In addition, all adoption fees on Adopt-a-Pet Day will be waived.
