• Moorpark Police Arrest Registered Sex Offender Brent Bischoff (edhat.com) — Moorpark residents are being urged to contact local detectives if they've had any concerning encounters with 37-year-old Brent Bischoff, who was recently arrested after allegedly approaching juveniles at two Moorpark shopping centers and making vulgar comments. Deputies used license plate data to locate and arrest him on multiple child-related charges, and investigators believe additional victims in Moorpark may still come forward.
   

• A gigantic fall festival with a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and pig races opens this weekend (secretlosangeles.com) — Moorpark families can dive into fall starting September 26, when Underwood Family Farms opens its 29th annual Fall Harvest Festival with a giant pumpkin patch, corn maze, wagon rides, and themed weekends through October 31. The 50-acre Moorpark farm will offer live entertainment, pig races, festival food, and both free and ticketed activities, with weekday tickets at the gate and timed-entry weekend tickets sold online.
   

• Senior Concerns' 'Par and Away' Golf Tournament on Nov. 17 tees up critical support for local seniors and family caregivers (amigos805.com) — Moorpark golfers and supporters can tee off for a cause on November 17, when Senior Concerns hosts its fifth annual 'Par and Away' tournament at Moorpark Country Club. The day includes breakfast, on-course food and contests, plus a 19th hole reception and auctions, with proceeds supporting Meals on Wheels, adult day programs, and caregiver services across eastern Ventura and western L.A. counties.
