Hundreds Gather At Target Store Ahead Of Perris Grand Opening

Target employs over 150 people in Perris and has made a significant investment in the city's continued retail and economic growth.

PERRIS, CA — Hundreds of shoppers joined elected officials, community leaders, members of the media, and Target team members at the new Perris Target ahead of its grand opening this weekend.

The store, located in Plaza de Perris, at 1688 N. Perris Boulevard, Building L, will hold its grand opening Sunday. It brings over 150 jobs to the Inland Empire and represents a significant investment in Perris' continued retail and economic growth, a Target spokesperson said.

The Tuesday night event previewed the new approximately 145,000-square-foot Perris Target. Perris Mayor Antonio Vargas, Councilwoman Marisela Nava, City Clerk Nancy Salazar, other elected officials and community leaders, Store Director Lorena Sperry and Target team members were on hand to pose for pictures and walk the many aisles of the store they championed.

"The new Target will expand shopping options for Perris and surrounding Inland Empire communities with groceries, fresh produce, meat and dairy, everyday essentials, apparel and home goods," a spokesperson said.

This location also offers many modern conveniences, including: Drive Up, Order Pickup, same-day fulfillment and Ship-from-Store services, along with Starbucks Café, CVS Pharmacy, Target Optical, Apple at Target and EV charging stations.

The Perris location is one of 11 new Target stores opening this July across the nation.
